劉偉昌首個個展 金屬雕塑及裝置展覽 21.03 – 30.09.2018 | 上午 11:00 至 下午 7:30 |星期一至六開放 冰窖 Vault | 香港中環下亞厘畢道二號藝穗會 從工匠到藝術家。從機械到人心。尋日常根本。 劉偉昌(昌哥) 人生已過半百的劉偉昌半生任職機械維修師傅。他的業餘藝術創作生涯緣起由拾到一部殘破的英國Phillips古典老單車之後——透過復修舊物，他的復修創作之心一發不可收拾，讓古典的味道和情懷能夠再一次在現今社會中呈現出來。從工匠到藝術家，他喜歡以機械零件創作，從最原始的鐵器中尋找最純粹的美。提醒我們活在當下，靜心感受城市的氣息，找回自己和外在環境的平衡。

The First Exhibition of Lau Wai Cheong

From craftsman to artist. From machinery to humanity. Discover the root of everyday's living.

Lau Wai Cheong (Cheong gor) Spending the first half of his life as a well-seasoned mechanician, Lau Wai Cheong started doing amateur arts after he had found a shabby Phillips bicycle. Through the restoration on that British bicycle, he was inspired by the past philosophy and wanted to portray the bygone features of old pieces once again in today’s society. From being a craftsman to an artist, he likes creating art with machinery parts and searching the purest beauty inside the most primitive metalwork. His works constantly remind us to live in the moment, to feel the innerness of the city, and to find the balance between self and the outside world.
